Federal Government Begins Extradition Process for Fleeing Binance Executive, Nadeem Anjarwalla
The Federal Government has taken decisive action in the case of a fleeing Binance executive, Nadeem Anjarwalla, who escaped custody in Nigeria. Anjarwalla, who is facing charges of tax evasion and money laundering, was traced to Kenya, where efforts are now underway to extradite him back to Nigeria.
According to sources in the Presidency, Anjarwalla’s whereabouts have been discovered, and the government is working closely with Kenyan authorities to bring him back to face the charges against him. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the International Criminal Police, the Nigeria Police Force, and the Kenyan Police Service are all involved in the extradition process.
The EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, confirmed in a recent bulletin that the commission is working with international law enforcement agencies to extradite Anjarwalla. The charges against him and his associates amount to $35.4 million in money laundering and other financial crimes.
Anjarwalla’s partner, Tigran Gambaryan, is currently in EFCC custody and is set to be arraigned in court. The government is determined to ensure that Anjarwalla is brought back to Nigeria to face justice for his alleged crimes.
The case has also led to the detention and questioning of soldiers who were detailed to monitor Anjarwalla, as the government takes the matter of national security seriously. The EFCC has fully taken over the case and is working to ensure that all parties involved are held accountable for their actions.
As the extradition process unfolds, the public awaits the outcome of the case and the eventual arraignment of Anjarwalla, Gambaryan, and Binance in court. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
