EMURGO Partners with Huawei Cloud to Strengthen Cardano Ecosystem

EMURGO, a global player in blockchain technology, has announced a strategic partnership with Huawei Cloud to strengthen the Cardano ecosystem. This partnership aims to propel Web3 adoption through the Cardano blockchain, benefiting both Asia-Pacific and Africa.

As part of the collaboration, EMURGO will set up a Cardano Validator Node on the Huawei Cloud, integrating Huawei’s cloud infrastructure into Cardano’s open-source public blockchain network. This will provide Cardano developers with access to Huawei’s extensive network of computing resources, enabling them to develop innovative Web3 solutions on the Cardano blockchain.

The partnership between EMURGO and Huawei Cloud marks the first step towards a meaningful alliance to extend the Cardano ecosystem in crucial regional economies throughout Asia Pacific and Africa. EMURGO’s CEO, Ken Kodama, expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting the convergence of Huawei Cloud’s trusted cloud technology with Cardano’s network of blockchain developers and Web3 solutions.

Rex Lei Yang, Managing Director of Huawei Cloud Singapore, also shared his enthusiasm about the collaboration, emphasizing Huawei Cloud’s mission to pursue continuous excellence in the cloud ecosystem. The partnership with EMURGO will provide Huawei Cloud access to a network of Web3 developers and innovative solutions on the Cardano blockchain network.

EMURGO, a founding entity of the Cardano blockchain, has played a pivotal role in the inception of the network, boasting over 3000 stake pools or validators that ensure security within the Cardano network. With a strong presence in countries like Singapore, India, Indonesia, and Japan, EMURGO aims to expand its reach across Africa through initiatives like Cardano accelerator, Adaverse, and regional entity EMURGO Africa.

Established in 2015 in Japan, EMURGO focuses on driving the adoption of Cardano’s Web3 ecosystem through partnerships, investments, education, and infrastructure development. On the other hand, Huawei, founded in 1987, is a global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices, serving more than three billion people worldwide.

The partnership between EMURGO and Huawei Cloud signifies a significant step towards enhancing the Cardano ecosystem and accelerating the adoption of Web3 technology in key regions across Asia-Pacific and Africa.
