This Week in Crypto Games: Sui Gaming Handheld, Saga Mainnet Launch, Notcoin Conversion, and More!

The crypto and NFT gaming space is buzzing with activity, with new games, token airdrops, and exciting developments happening all the time. To help you stay on top of the latest news, Decrypt’s GG has put together a roundup of the most significant events in This Week in Crypto Games.

One of the biggest announcements this week was the unveiling of the SuiPlay0x1 handheld gaming console by Mysten Labs and Playtron at the Sui Basecamp event in Paris. This device, set for release in 2025, will allow gamers to play both crypto and non-crypto games, with the Sui blockchain integrated into the account system.

Another major development was the launch of the Saga mainnet and SAGA token. Saga, a new layer-1 blockchain, gained popularity through airdrop competitions and a successful Binance Launchpool campaign. The mainnet launch enables developers to use Saga to power their apps, with SAGA now listed on Binance.

In other news, players of the game Notcoin now know that they will receive 1,000 NOT tokens for every one million in-game coins mined. This conversion rate aims to simplify the token supply and make it easier for players to handle the on-chain version, set to launch around April 20.

Additionally, the latest expansion for Gods Unchained, Dread Awakening, features a crossover with the upcoming mobile game Guild of Guardians. With 148 new cards minted on Immutable X, this expansion is set to be released on April 23rd.

In case you missed it, several other exciting developments took place in the crypto gaming space this week. Space Nation Online announced a 10-week airdrop rewards event, OpenSeason revealed a Doge-themed biome, and Adidas partnered with Crypto: The Game for a special collaboration. Parallel also announced a global tournament series with a $500,000 prize pool.

With so much happening in the world of crypto games, it’s clear that the industry is more vibrant and active than ever. Stay tuned for more updates and exciting news in the weeks to come.
