Kenyan Officials Deny Reports of Binance Executive Nadeem Anjarwalla’s Arrest in Kenya
The saga of Binance executive Nadeem Anjarwalla continues to unfold as conflicting reports emerge regarding his alleged arrest in Kenya. Anjarwalla, who had fled from custody in Nigeria, was reportedly discovered in Kenya and is said to be facing extradition back to Nigeria.
However, Kenyan officials, including Anjarwalla’s wife, have denied the reports of his arrest, stating that he has only been found in Kenya but has not yet been arrested or extradited. The Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) is the only entity authorized to carry out an extradition request, and as of now, no official arrest warrant has been issued.
Despite the denials, reports indicate that talks are underway for Anjarwalla’s extradition back to Nigeria. Meanwhile, his colleague Tigran Gambaryan, who remains in custody in Nigeria, has pleaded not guilty to charges brought against him and is awaiting a ruling on his bail request.
The case of Anjarwalla and Gambaryan has captured the attention of the cryptocurrency community, as they face legal troubles in both Nigeria and Kenya. As the situation continues to develop, all eyes will be on the legal proceedings and the fate of these two individuals.
